The <strong>Pagoda<\/strong> is actually the nickname given to the <strong>Mercedes-Benz W113<\/strong>, a range of sports cars produced between 1963 and 1971 powered by an <i>M130<\/i> L6 (2.8 L) petrol engine.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Mercedes-Benz W113<\/strong> was introduced as the successor to the famous <strong>300 SL<\/strong>, also known as the &#8220;Gullwing&#8221; because of its distinctive <strong>gullwing doors<\/strong>. The W113 has been designed as a more practical and accessible <strong>sports car<\/strong>, while retaining the elegant styling and outstanding performance of its predecessor.<\/p>\n<p>French designer <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Paul_Bracq\">Paul Bracq<\/a> is credited with the W113&#8217;s body design. He created a <strong>timeless aesthetic<\/strong> with sleek, <strong>flowing lines<\/strong> and an optional <strong>removable hardtop<\/strong>, hence the nickname &#8220;Pagoda&#8221;.
